Atrius Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to support clinicians by preparing patients, taking histories, and performing preliminary ophthalmic testing and basic procedures. You will assist in office-based exams and surgeries, counsel patients on medications and post-procedure care, and help with scheduling and equipment maintenance.

Certification requirements within 2 years, a strong attention to detail and customer service skills are essential in a fast-paced eye care practice.

Responsabilidades

• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms and records vital signs.
• Performs history taking including ocular and systemic history.
• Conducts preliminary testing and lensometry, keratometry, and vision testing.
• Assists in ophthalmic exams and procedures in the office.
• Counsels patients on medications, drops, and post-procedure care.
• Schedules follow-ups as needed.
• Maintains and repairs ophthalmic equipment.
