Center For Sight is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to join our clinical team in a fast-paced eye care setting. You will work alongside ophthalmologists and optometrists to perform eye-related tests and support patient care.

Training will cover complex diagnostic procedures and patient interaction, with opportunities to advance in a growing medical field and obtain certification in ophthalmic support.

Formación

• Experience in a professional environment with a strong customer service focus.
• Previous experience in the medical field is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required; willing to train the right person; ophthalmology/optometry experience a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Support ophthalmologists and optometrists by performing eye-related clinical tasks.
• Take patient histories, perform procedures and tests, and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist doctors with diagnosis and treatment by providing essential information.
• Conduct tonometry to measure intraocular pressure.
• Measure visual acuity and document patients’ medical histories.
• Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications as directed.
• Perform visual field tests and instruct patients on contact lens care.
