Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
• ACLS may be required based on specialty.
• Proven ability to use electronic tools and applications (phone, keyboard, computer).
• Compliance with applicable policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms and collects vital signs.
• Inputs clinical information into the medical record.
• Performs preliminary ophthalmic testing and history taking.
• Demonstrates knowledge of pupil function, keratometry, tonometry and related tests.
• Performs optic testing and visual field testing.
• Assists in medication administration, drops and patient education.
• Supports scheduling and basic equipment maintenance.
