What You’ll Do As An Operator Telecom Construction

  • Operate drill equipment safely on the jobsite, including directional drill, backhoe/excavator, skid steer, tractor trailer, vacuum truck/trailer
  • Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the site
  • Develop and maintain a bore schedule
  • Set up and clean up the site
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before construction
  • Set up safety perimeters with signage, cones, barriers, and flagging traffic if needed

What You’ll Need

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Authorization to work in the US
  • Valid Driver's License or Class A CDL with tanker endorsement
  • Acceptable MVR record
  • Ability to work safely in all weather conditions
  • Lift/carry 50 lbs regularly, up to 75 lbs with assistance
  • Work overtime, after hours, weekends, for emergencies or on-call
  • Experience with drilling equipment and utility locators
  • Ability to read work orders, safety rules, operating instructions
  • Climb ladders and machinery
  • Previous construction or utility experience (preferred)

Additional Qualifications (if applicable)

  • Visual abilities including near, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, airborne pathogens, chemicals, moving machinery
  • Remote work possible; long driving and sitting required
  • Moderate noise level in work environment
