Job Opportunity: Telecommunications Installer (Level IV)

We currently have a Telecommunications Installer role open in our Northeast region. This position is 100% remote, with overnight travel to customer sites within the regional area, and occasional travel outside the region. The role reports to the Northeast Region Services Manager. The preferred location is Maine.

Responsibilities

• Work on circuit modifications, power transition operations, and addition/removal of circuits on power distribution sources.
• Perform testing and turn-up of power system equipment.
• Oversee volatile work activities and perform Site Supervisor responsibilities on job sites.
• Utilize experience and judgment for troubleshooting to accomplish goals, complete tasks, and resolve customer issues promptly.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with at least six (6) years of experience in DC power equipment installation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel approximately 100% and work different shifts, including swing shifts.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Operate motorized lift equipment for batteries weighing 80-750 lbs.
• Push or pull cables up to 60 lbs.
• Climb ladders up to 8 ft. frequently.
• Work/stand on ladders for extended periods.
• Stand continuously.
• Reach above, below, or at shoulder level frequently.
• Bend, twist, stoop, crouch, or squat frequently.
• Work in varying environments with moderate noise, heat, and cold.

Desired Characteristics

• Strong customer service orientation.
• Prior field engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Electrical degree, certification, or apprenticeship.
• Experience with AC electrical systems.
