Job Opportunity: Telecommunications Installer (Level IV)

We are seeking a Telecommunications Installer for our Southeast region. This position is remote, with overnight travel to customer sites within the region, and may occasionally require travel outside the geographic area. The role reports to the Southeast Region Services Manager. The preferred location is the Lakeland, Florida area.

Responsibilities

• Work on circuit modifications, power transition operations, and the addition/removal of circuits on power distribution sources.
• Perform power system equipment testing and turn-up.
• Oversee volatile work activities and assume Site Supervisor responsibilities on job sites.
• Utilize experience and judgment to troubleshoot and solve key customer issues in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with at least six (6) years of experience in DC power equipment installation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel approximately 100% and work different shifts, including swing shifts.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Operate motorized lift equipment to handle batteries weighing 80-750 lbs.
• Frequently push or pull cables weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Climb ladders up to 8 ft. and work/stand on ladders for extended periods.
• Maintain continuous standing and perform reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, crouching, or squatting.
• Work in varying environments with moderate noise, heat, and cold.

Desired Characteristics

• Strong customer service orientation.
• Prior field engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Electrical degree, certification, or apprenticeship.
• AC electrical experience.
