What you'll do as an Operator Telecom Construction

• Safely operate drill equipment on the job site, including but not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (for moving equipment / hauling water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer.
• Restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the job site.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Handle site setup and cleanup.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on trucks.
• Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction.
• Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and safety barriers; perform flagging traffic when required.

What you'll need

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement.
• Acceptable MVR record as per company standards.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed, with or without assistance.
• Willingness to work overtime, after hours, weekends, for emergencies, or on-call.
• Experience with drilling equipment and understanding their capabilities and limitations.
• Proficiency in using locators to identify utilities safely.
• Experience with drill setup and design processes (preferred).
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Ability to climb ladders, machinery, and other objects.
• Previous construction or utility construction experience (preferred).

Physical abilities & exposures

• Specific vision abilities required include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Potential exposure to dust, fumes, airborne pathogens, toxic or corrosive chemicals, moving machinery, and moderate noise levels.
• Remote work may be required; long driving and sitting are expected.
