What you’ll do as an Operator Telecom Construction

• Safely operate drill equipment on the jobsite, including but not limited to Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (for moving equipment and hauling water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
• Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Handle site setup and cleanup
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on trucks
• Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction
• Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and barriers; flag traffic when necessary

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement
• Acceptable MVR record
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed
• Willingness to work overtime, after hours, weekends, or on-call for emergencies
• Experience with drilling equipment and understanding their capabilities and limitations
• Proficiency with locators for utility identification
• Experience with drill setup and design (preferred)
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
• Ability to climb ladders, machinery, and other objects
• Previous construction or utility construction experience (preferred)

Physical abilities & exposures

• Visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception; ability to adjust focus
• Exposure to dust, fumes, airborne pathogens, chemicals, moving machinery; moderate noise level
• Potential remote work; long driving and sitting required
