At Lambert's Cable, as an operator, you’ll operate heavy equipment used in installation, repair, and maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities in a safe and effective manner.

What You’ll Do As an Operator

  • Safely operate drill equipment such as Directional Drill, Backhoe, Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer, Vacuum Truck/Trailer
  • Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the site
  • Develop and maintain a bore schedule
  • Manage site setup and cleanup
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before construction
  • Set up safety perimeters with signage, cones, barriers, and flagging as needed

What You’ll Need

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Authorization to work in the US
  • Valid Driver's License or Class A CDL with tanker endorsement
  • Acceptable MVR record
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly, 75 lbs as needed
  • Work overtime, after hours, weekends, or on-call as required
  • Experience with drilling equipment and utility locators
  • Ability to read work orders, safety rules, and instructions
  • Climb ladders and machinery safely
  • Previous construction or utility experience is a plus
