Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge, de-watering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment in a refinery/industrial facility under direct supervision. The role emphasizes learning, teamwork and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include sampling, testing, logging readings, performing unit rounds and assisting in preventative maintenance and general equipment upkeep. A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sludge, de-watering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment to meet customer specifications under direct supervision.
• Demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment such as pumps, centrifuges, valves, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handling equipment.
• Work in a team environment and be willing to take on additional responsibilities.
• Keep the work area neat and clean and log/process readings; collect samples and perform routine testing.
• Assist in facility equipment preventative and general maintenance.
