Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator/Driller Trainee (Quarry) to join our ESOP-owned team in New Hampshire. You’ll learn to operate backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and loaders while supporting drilling and blasting operations in quarry environments.

We offer an hourly rate of $20–$22 per hour, with travel stipends and a path for advancement from within. Candidates should be safety-minded, physically capable, and commit to training through the Driller I program.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment is helpful.
• Valid driver's license with own transportation.
• Experience as construction laborer is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude around equipment and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Operate and learn drill patterns under supervision.
• Maintain safety and adapt to varying weather conditions.
• Travel out of town and work overtime as needed.
• Perform daily maintenance on equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Complete drill reports and timecard paperwork.
