Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator/Driller Trainee (Construction) in Concord, NH. The role offers growth from within and a pathway to advanced drilling responsibilities within our ESOP-driven company.

The position includes an hourly rate of $20–$22 plus travel stipends, with potential overtime. Candidates should be safety-minded, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to travel as needed. Training to Driller I is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating earth moving construction equipment.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Experience as a construction laborer is preferred.
• Ability to operate safely and understand equipment systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform instruction from Supervisors/Drill Operators.
• Maintain safety and work in varying weather conditions.
• Travel/out-of-town work and overtime may be required.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance for safe operation.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Learn drill patterns and execute layouts as directed by Foreman.
• Inventory accessories and understand maintenance costs.
• Report problems and terrain conditions to Blaster/Foreman.
• Complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timesheets accurately.
• Work unsupervised with urgency and carry necessary tools.
• Participate in daily and safety meetings.
