Job summary

The role requires GMP experience, familiarity with LOTO procedures, and strong data recording skills to maintain production quality and safety standards in a climate-controlled facility.

Job Title: Operator - 3rd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled operator to join our team on the 3rd shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining fermentation tanks and various food production machinery. This role involves ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and accurately handling and recording production data.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain fermentation tanks and food production machinery, including packaging machinery, labelers, vats, dryers, and conveyor systems.

• Perform sanitation duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Weigh and/or count product accurately and ensure materials are checked in and out correctly.

• Complete Disassembly, Clean, Reassembly (DCRs) tasks safely and efficiently.

• Accurately print labels and conduct minor quality inspections of products.

• Record production data accurately.

Essential Skills

• Experience with fermentation, formulation, sterile processing, and food manufacturing.

• At least 1 year of experience with LOTO procedures and operating production machinery in a GMP environment.

• At least 1 year of experience in sanitation duties and packaging.

• Skills in documentation review, quality inspection, and aseptic techniques.

Work Environment

This position operates in a GMP-compliant, climate-controlled facility. The 3rd shift runs from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Sunday through Thursday. While overtime is possible, it is voluntary. Employees are required to adhere to the GMP code, including wearing safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, pants without holes, and appropriate hair and beard nets.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
