Job summary

Aventure Staffing is seeking an Operations and Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and inventory control for a distribution firm in Des Moines. The role leads facility personnel, ensures on-time delivery, and drives efficiency while enforcing safety standards.

Qualifications include 5 years of management experience, 2+ years in shipping/receiving, DOT knowledge, and proficiency with measurement tools. Strong communication and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent education from college/technical school, or related training/experience.
• 5 years of prior management experience is required.
• 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience is required.
• Knowledge of measuring tools (tape, micrometer) and DOT regulations is required.
• Overhead crane maintenance experience is preferred.
• Must multi-task, be detail-oriented, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for visitors and manage will-call orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Oversee all inbound/outbound shipments, coordinate staging, and manage transfers across multiple facilities.
• Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and transportation to set daily shipping priorities.
• Lead safety programs and train staff on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• Schedule shifts, breaks, attendance, and collaborate with HR on staffing and performance.
• Track maintenance, coordinate inspections, and procure supplies to improve daily operations.
