Job summary

Ampacity is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for the Des Moines Distribution Center. Manage inbound/outbound operations, coordinate dock scheduling, and ensure accurate receiving and shipping documentation to support efficient order cycles.

You will work with the Warehouse Manager to optimize inventory control, track metrics, and support same-day deliveries when possible. Requires 2+ years in logistics and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.).
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and route requests to the appropriate internal teams.
• Review purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate special shipping arrangements as needed.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, resolving any discrepancies, damages, or shortages with vendors/carriers.
• Track outbound shipments and resolve any shipping errors.
• Prepare shipping documents, including fulfillment records and manifests.
• Manage inbound and outbound distribution processes, including dock scheduling and inventory processing.
• Support same-day deliveries when possible.
• Track shipping and receiving metrics and report trends or issues to the Warehouse Manager.
