Job summary

PTS Advance in California seeks a Manufacturing Training Coordinator to strengthen training and development across plant operations. You will deliver new hire, refresher, and remedial training, maintain programs and materials, and track employee progress to ensure safety, compliance, and operational readiness.

• 5+ years of experience in process operations.
• Up to one year of specialized or technical training beyond high school.
• Strong understanding of process operations, equipment, and plant fundamentals.
• Ability to teach technical concepts to employees with varying levels of experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical information clearly and practically.
• Identify training needs and develop effective training materials and programs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially for training records and compliance.
• Proficient with computers, software applications, LMS platforms, and other communication tools.
• Ability to work effectively with operators, maintenance personnel, supervisors, and other plant stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new hire, refresher, and remedial training covering safety, maintenance, operations, and compliance.
• Conduct training for operations personnel on process fundamentals, plant science, fluid behavior, heat, and heat transfer.
• Provide training on process equipment such as pumps, valves, instrumentation, fractionators, heat exchangers, vacuum systems, and related equipment.
• Deliver training related to fractional distillation, water treatment, and other separation processes.
• Ensure CBT courses are completed on schedule.
• Maintain training programs, including course materials, documentation, and employee records.
• Maintain accurate training records within the LMS.
• Track employee training progress and follow up on outstanding requirements.
• Coordinate and deliver refresher training to maintain compliance.
• Collaborate with plant personnel and the L&D Program Manager to improve training materials and programs.
• Ensure training programs align with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Communicate employee training status and progress to managers and stakeholders.
• Support other training and development initiatives as needed.

Job description

The ideal candidate has a strong background in process operations and enjoys teaching others. You’ll work closely with plant personnel and the Learning & Development team to keep training programs relevant, practical, and up to date.

What You’ll Do
