Job summary

LAMP is seeking a Training Coordinator to transform a group of hires into a qualified operating crew. The role owns the competency system so the plant can prove through documentation that operators know their job tasks.

The candidate will develop training content from process diagrams, narratives, SOPs, and manuals, manage LMS-based training and coordinate external vendor sessions while maintaining auditable records.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of industrial training coordination or operations experience with training responsibility.
• Ability to read P&IDs and translate technical content into training material.
• Learning management system administration experience.
• Strong facilitation and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build the operator and technician qualification matrix covering every position, task and required competency.
• Develop training content from P&IDs, control narratives, standard operating procedures and equipment manuals.
• Schedule and capture vendor training delivered during installation and commissioning before those representatives leave site.
• Run classroom, field walkdown and simulator or console based training and document completion.
• Administer written and practical qualification assessments and maintain auditable training records.
• Own mandatory compliance training, including hazard communication, lockout tagout, confined space, respiratory protection and emergency response.
• Build the refresher and requalification calendar and the onboarding path for new hires.
• Partner with local colleges and workforce boards on pipeline programs.

• Prior process operator or technician background.
• Existing relationships with regional process technology programs.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.
