Job summary

  • Maintains LMS records and training programs for safety and compliance.
  • Identifies and implements improvement of training courses in coordination with plant personnel and Learning and Development Program Manager.
  • Tracks refresher training to maintain company and regulatory compliance.
  • Supports compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to plant operations and employee development and compliance training.
  • Communicates status of employee training with stakeholders.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Training Manager is responsible for developing and implementing training strategies, including all training programs and guides. Conducting, tracking, and monitoring training progress for all departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Delivers all new hire, refresher, and remedial training encompassing Safety, Maintenance, Operations, and Compliance curricullum and courses.
  • Ensures all Computer Based Training (CBT) training courses are completed timely.
  • Maintains operations, safety, and maintenance training programs, including documentation and records to ensure safety and compliance within the company LMS.
  • Continously identifies, develops and implements improvement of training courses, in cordination with plant personnel and the Learning and Development Program Manager.
  • Performs and tracks refresher training as required to maintain company and regulatory compliance.
  • Supports compliance efforts for federal, state and local laws, regulations related to plant operations and maintenance related to employee development and compliance training.
  • Clearly communicates status of employee training with stakeholders.
  • Maintains Learning Management System (LMS) records.
Other Functions:
  • Conducts all training on process fundamentals for operations personnel, including plant science courses, fluids behavior, heat, and heat transfer.
  • Conducts generic training on process equipment including pumps, valves, instrumentation, fractionators, heat exchanges, vacuum systems, etc.
  • Conducts multi-course training on fractional distillation, water treatment, and other separation processes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role supervises the following positions:None.

Required Qualifications:
  • Up to one year of specialized or technical training beyond high school.
  • 5 years of experience in Process operations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Process Operator vocational training or equivalent preferred.
