Job summary

Storyteller Overland, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama seeks an Operations Training & Development Specialist to build and run training programs for Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams. You will onboard new hires, certify associates, and design learning pathways that align with safety, quality, and standard work.

You will partner with Design, Engineering, Quality, and People Ops to implement new training, measure effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety, continuous improvement, and developing others’ capabilities.
• Proficient in AI & Microsoft Office/Google Suite
• Strong training, presentation and coaching skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding, new hire orientation, and training for Operations teams.
• Deliver hands-on, classroom, and on-the-job training across Production, Quality, Warehouse, Procurement, and other roles.
• Develop training plans and learning pathways for new hires and career progression.
• Define role-specific competencies and training requirements; validate readiness and competency.
• Evaluate trainee progress and provide coaching to strengthen understanding and performance.
• Identify skill gaps and implement targeted training, coaching, and cross-training.
• Coordinate refresher training in response to process changes or quality issues.
• Collaborate with Design/Engineering, Process & Quality, and Supply Chain to introduce new products and changes.
• Create and maintain training matrices, materials, and certifications.
• Conduct training audits and ensure adherence to standard work.
