Job summary

XTRA Lease, Inc. is seeking a Management Trainee to learn the ins-and-outs of managing a rental facility within the national supply chain, growing in customer service, fleet management, vendor relations, invoicing, and leadership.

This entry-level program places you in real operations at one of our 46 nationwide facilities, with opportunities to advance to Operations Manager or Outside Sales, plus competitive benefits including 13 days of PTO and tuition reimbursement up to $7,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (strongly preferred) or 4 years of relevant experience in customer-facing rental operations or outside sales.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Willingness to relocate out-of-state for promotion opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers like PepsiCo and FedEx by assessing trailer needs and explaining rental options.
• Inspect trailers using handheld devices to check for damage or issues.
• Manage customer accounts, including credit and collections tasks.
• Verify customer insurance coverage for rentals.
• Coordinate repair work with vendors and XTRA Lease mechanics.
• Use technology to track inventories and manage equipment.
• Occasional paid travel to other branches and corporate headquarters for orientation and cross-training.
