Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Operations Technician to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations at our Idaho sites. You will read and interpret drawings, inspect equipment, and ensure compliance with standards and government requirements.

The role requires strong data analysis, collaboration, and ability to work in extreme conditions. You will document processes, follow maintenance procedures, and support safety-first operations across multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience as an operations technician or similar role.
• Preferred: Associate or 2-year technical degree and 2+ years of multifaceted oil and gas operations experience.
• Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift over 50 lbs as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods.
• Ability to work at elevated levels using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers with PPE.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Availability for after-hours work, on-call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role


• Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry


• Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces


• Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed


• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods


• Ability to work at elevated levels using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers with appropriate PPE


• Ability to use hand tools


• Availability for after-hours work, on-call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays


• Ability to work overtime and 10-12 hour shifts


• Ability to travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays


• Valid State Driver's License and clean driving record


• Aptitude for technology and applications


• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills


• Proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
