Job summary

Jobtailor in Rifle, Colorado is seeking an experienced Operations Technician to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations. You will read and interpret drawings, inspect equipment, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and governmental requirements.

This role requires at least three years of relevant experience (Associates degree preferred) and a willingness to work long shifts, travel between Williams locations, and handle 10-12 hour days in challenging conditions.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience as an operations technician or similar role.
  • Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum 2 years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
  • Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods.
  • Ability to work at elevated levels using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers with appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Availability for after-hours work, on-call rotations, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and 10-12 hour shifts.
  • Willingness to travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
  • Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Aptitude for technology and applications.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
  • Proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Commitment to safety as the utmost priority
