Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an Operations Technician to support pipeline operations and safely maintain equipment. You will read drawings, inspect and supervise equipment, and ensure compliance with standards and governmental requirements.

You will analyze data, resolve technical issues, and document activities in reports and logs. The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, 3+ years in an operations tech role, and willingness to work long shifts, overtime, and travel between Williams locations.

Job description

  • Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations

  • Follow company policies and operating and maintenance procedures
  • Operate facilities safely and efficiently while protecting communities, personnel, the environment, and assets
  • Maintain knowledge of site, location, equipment, permits, and compliance requirements
  • Complete reports and logs
  • Maintain accurate process-operation and preventative-maintenance records
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role
  • Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree
  • Preferred: Minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces
  • Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads over 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods
  • Ability to work at elevated levels using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers with appropriate PPE
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Availability for after-hours work, on-call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willingness to work overtime and 10-12 hour shifts
  • Willingness to travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
  • Valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Aptitude for technology and applications
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
  • Proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
