Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Operations Technician to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations. You will read and interpret drawings, inspect equipment, and ensure compliance with standards and procedures.

Analyzing data and collaborating to resolve technical or operational problems will be part of the role. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with 3+ years in an operations technician role, and preferred associates or technical degree.

  • Oil and gas industry experience is advantageous.
  • Valid state driver’s license required.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations
  • Read and interpret drawings
  • Inspect and supervise equipment
  • Maintain operational and technical standards and governmental requirements
  • Analyze data and collaborate to resolve technical or operational problems
  • Follow Company policies and operating and maintenance procedures
  • Operate facilities safely and efficiently while protecting community, personnel, environment, and assets
  • Maintain knowledge of site, location, equipment, permits, and compliance requirements
  • Complete reports and logs
  • Maintain accurate records of process operations and preventive maintenance performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role
  • Associates or 2-year technical degree preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
  • Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces
  • Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads over 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods
  • Ability to work at elevated levels using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers with appropriate PPE
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Availability for after-hours work, on-call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • May be required to work overtime, 10–12 hour shifts, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
  • Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Aptitude for technology and applications
  • Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and strong safety focus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
  • Proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
