Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage operations teams, including supervisors and field personnel.
  • Oversee pipelines, processing plants, compressor stations, terminals, or related facilities in the region.
  • Drive safety culture and process safety management.
  • Monitor asset performance, reliability, and uptime with maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Manage operating budgets and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Support maintenance activities, turnarounds, and minor capital projects.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Coordinate with Commercial and Scheduling teams to meet throughput and commitments.
  • Communicate with regulators and local stakeholders as needed.
  • Execute operational strategy and contribute to planning and forecasting.

Job description


  • Lead and manage operations teams, including supervisors and field personnel, ensuring safe and effective execution of daily activities

  • Oversee pipelines, processing plants, compressor stations, terminals, or related facilities within the assigned region

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements

  • Drive safety culture, process safety management practices, and operational discipline

  • Monitor and improve asset performance, reliability, and uptime with Maintenance and Engineering teams

  • Manage operating budgets, track costs, and identify cost optimization opportunities

  • Support maintenance activities, turnarounds, and minor capital projects

  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions

  • Coordinate with Commercial and Scheduling teams to meet throughput, production, and customer commitments

  • Ensure workforce capability through training, development, and succession planning

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, regulators, and local stakeholders as needed

  • Provide leadership to supervisors and frontline teams across a defined geographic area or asset group

  • Execute established operational strategy and contribute to planning and forecasting


Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field typically required

  • Equivalent industry experience may be considered

  • 8+ years of progressive Operations experience in the oil & gas industry

  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of oil & gas operations, including pipelines, processing plants, or field operations

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements, including safety, environmental, and pipeline compliance

  • Ability to lead field-based teams and manage operational performance across multiple locations

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in dynamic operational environments

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and competing operational priorities

  • Applicable industry certifications preferred

  • Ability to travel to field sites or project locations as needed

  • Applicable driver's license if assigned a company vehicle
