Job summary

Messer Americas is seeking an Operations Technician to maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable chemical manufacturing process in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will perform preventative, corrective and proactive maintenance to ensure continuous operations.

The role requires handling start-ups, shutdowns, de-rime, and production state changes while following HWP/LOTO procedures and safety guidelines across the plant.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Min. 1 year of relevant experience in related process plant operations reliability activity.
• Physically able to perform duties (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, bending, stooping).
• Ability to climb to heights over 200 ft and operate safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, efficient and reliable operation of a chemical manufacturing process in accordance with regulations.
• Perform preventative, corrective and proactive maintenance.
• Utilize SAP PM to document and improve maintenance plans.
• Assist with shutdowns, start-ups, and production changes.
• Troubleshoot process problems to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform water treatment tasks and energy isolation procedures.
