Job summary

Messer in Texas is hiring a Maintenance Operations Tech I to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a chemical manufacturing facility. You will execute preventive and corrective maintenance and support reliability of the plant, in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

This role requires 3 years of related experience, a technical certificate, and the ability to read P&IDs and PFDs.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in a related process plant operations, maintenance or reliability activity.
• Certificate in a technical discipline or military training in a technical field is a plus.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings including P&IDs and PFDs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, efficient operation of a chemical manufacturing facility.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and reliability improvements.
• Calibrate process analyzers and checks.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors) and perform basic repairs.
• Operate CMMS SAP and document work orders and activities.
• Accept on-call duty and overtime as required.
