Job summary

Messer Americas is hiring a Maintenance Operations Tech I to maintain a safe, reliable chemical processing facility in California. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, calibrations, and basic troubleshooting, while following LOTO, MOC, and safety policies.

Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read P&IDs/PFDs, and experience with CMMS/SAP are preferred. A valid driver's license is required, and on-call/overtime may be necessary. The salary range is displayed below.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 3 years of related process plant ops, maintenance or reliability experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and PFDs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and LOTO/MOC procedures.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and calibrations.
• Operate and troubleshoot mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors).
• Support plant inventory and use CMMS for work orders.
• Assist in plant shutdowns, startups, and production changes.
• Accept on-call and overtime as required.
