Job summary

West Fraser is seeking candidates to join our team in a role that involves working across sawmills, planers, kilns, and shipping while maintaining safety and quality standards. The position requires a proactive attitude, accountability, and the ability to adapt to varying shifts as needed.

On-the-job training is provided as we promote from within and invest in employee growth. Ideal applicants demonstrate strong communication, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn and improve

Qualifications

• Understand and promote West Fraser goals and expectations.

• Have or be willing to obtain forklift, front end loader, and skid steer qualifications.
• Have above average oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work well with orders while giving directions and instructions.
• Understand limitations and know when to seek assistance.
• Follow through and complete tasks as instructed.
• Have mechanical aptitude and analytical abilities.
• Perform department safety and environmental inspections.
• Follow, maintain, and promote change that benefits the department.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement.

Candidates for this position must:
