Job summary

Goodwill Central Texas is seeking an Operations Team Lead to guide daily DC activities across outlet, warehouse, and dock functions. You will provide on‑the‑floor leadership, training support, and task coordination while reinforcing safety, SOPs, and productivity expectations.

This role does not supervise employees directly but acts as a working lead providing real‑time coaching and coordinating logistics to ensure smooth shift continuity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification or willingness to certify within 30 days.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail, warehousing, logistics, or recycling operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift-level workflow across outlet, warehouse, and dock.
• Serve as subject-matter expert on DC processes, equipment, and safety standards.
• Train and mentor team members, supporting onboarding and SOP adherence.
• Provide real-time guidance to reinforce performance and standards.
• Monitor workflow and escalate issues with proposed solutions to management.
• Perform daily safety checks and report findings to the manager.
• Inspect and report on equipment like forklifts and balers; tag-out as needed.
• Support opening/closing procedures for outlet and warehouse.
• Assist customers on the sales floor and coordinate Logistics activities.
• Maintain shift continuity in the absence of the Assistant Site Manager.
