Job summary

Universal Waste Systems in Phoenix, AZ seeks an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily activities of the operations staff and ensure efficient refuse and recycling collection in the assigned area.

The role requires leadership, strict adherence to safety rules, and collaboration with customers, ownership, maintenance, customer service, dispatch and sustainability teams to deliver seamless service. A Class D license is required; HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Four years of supervisory experience in waste/recycling required.
• Current and valid Class D driver's license with clean record; Class B a plus.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and collections in assigned area.
• Ensure adherence to work and safety rules.
• Maintain a safe work environment via safety-first culture.
• Collaborate with customers, ownership, maintenance, customer service, dispatch and sustainability.
• Use computer systems to track and improve routing, productivity and customer experience.
