Job summary

Universal Waste Systems, Inc. seeks a dedicated Truck Driver to operate front load, side load and roll-off routes in Phoenix, AZ. The role emphasizes safety, timeliness and courteous service on every stop.

Responsibilities include daily pre/post trip inspections, following route instructions, servicing waste, recycling and compost bins, and reporting maintenance issues. A valid CDL and DOT medical card are required, with at least one year of refuse truck driving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with refuse truck operations and basic truck maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental rules.
• Familiarity with route navigation and routing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Learn geography of assigned route and surrounding areas.
• Service trash, recycling, compost and/or mixed waste bins using various collection vehicles.
• Clean up spills and overflows and return bins to their proper area.
• Operate vehicles with public safety as your primary responsibility.
• Utilize in-cab electronic routing systems to follow route and service requirements.
• Use radio to communicate with dispatch and route supervisors.
• Observe and comply with hazardous waste procedures and regulations.
• Report accidents, injuries or maintenance issues promptly.
• Observe all safety regulations, policies and procedures.
• Maintain collaborative working relationship with coworkers and customers.
• Participate in trainings to improve service.
