Job summary

RXO Inc. in Southfield, MI is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations and supplier performance within Managed Transportation.

You will ensure transportation, communication, and customer service issues are resolved to meet customer expectations, while driving Lean process improvements across the operation. The role focuses on scheduling, tracking, and resolving in-transit concerns, with emphasis on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in transportation or logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) such as Oracle Transportation Management.
• Proven ability to lead and collaborate across teams.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Review freight for linehauls and routes to maintain low costs.
• Support scheduling, tracking updates, and issue resolution.
• Investigate and resolve internal issues impacting performance and client satisfaction.
• Lead Lean initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Schedule daily workload based on customer input.
• Monitor disputes and carrier performance metrics.
