Job summary

RXO Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Warren, Michigan to oversee daily operations and supplier performance. You will manage routing, dispatch, and dockhand activities while driving cost reductions and performance improvements.

The role requires leadership to supervise and develop staff and resolve issues impacting service quality. Key responsibilities include reviewing freight options for cost efficiency, coordinating Load Planners, and applying Lean principles to enhance operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in transportation or logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably Oracle Transportation Management.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills to supervise, coach and influence employees.
• Willingness to work cross-functionally on multiple accounts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presenting clear information to the audience.

Responsibilities

• Review available freight for linehauls and routes to maintain lowest cost options.
• Manage Load Planners and dockworkers responsible for routing, tracking, and dispatch.
• Investigate and resolve issues impacting performance, morale, or customer satisfaction.
• Apply Lean concepts to lower costs and improve performance across operations.
• Schedule daily workload based on customer input, disputes, and warnings.
• Monitor supplier on-time shipping performance and document delivery results.
• Handle supervisory duties: hiring, training, performance reviews, discipline.
