Job summary

RXO, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor, Operations in Michigan to lead daily logistics activities, oversee staff, and ensure high levels of service. You will manage freight routing, workload scheduling, and performance metrics across drivers, planners and dock staff.

You will drive continuous improvements, address issues quickly, and collaborate across departments to meet customer expectations. The role requires leadership, communication, and a strong bias for results.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics.
• Experience working with a Transportation Management System (TMS), preferably Oracle Transportation Management.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to supervise, coach and influence employees.
• Willingness to work cross-functionally on multiple accounts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review all available freight for linehauls and routes to ensure lowest cost options.
• Handle Load Planners and dockworkers, including routing, tracking, dispatching and staging freight.
• Investigate and resolve internal and external issues affecting performance and satisfaction.
• Drive continuous improvement by reducing costs and increasing performance, applying Lean concepts.
• Schedule daily workload based on input from customers and suppliers; manage disputes and warnings.
• Monitor supplier on-time shipping performance and document delivery performance.
• Fulfill supervisory duties including hiring, training, performance reviews, discipline and conflict resolution.
