Job summary

RXO, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor, Operations in Mishawaka, IN to oversee daily transportation and logistics activities within a private fleet. You will lead Load Planners, monitor performance, and partner with teams to meet customer expectations.

You’ll apply Lean concepts, drive cost reductions, and coach staff while ensuring a safe, compliant workplace. The role offers growth within a dynamic logistics environment at RXO, a leader in North American freight solutions.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics.

Responsibilities

• Review available freight for linehauls and routes to minimize costs within a private fleet.
• Manage Load Planners responsible for building routes, updating tracking information, and dispatching carriers.
• Investigate and resolve internal issues that impact job performance, employee morale and customer satisfaction.
• Lead continuous improvement by reviewing procedures and work habits and implementing steps to lower costs while increasing performance; introduce Lean concepts across the operation.
• Schedule daily workload based on input from customers, dispute requests from suppliers, PRRs and warning letters.
• Monitor and prioritize weekly disputes and escalation requests from customer and supplier; compile supplier dispute data and chart supplier on-time shipping performance.
• Track and document delivery performance; update and maintain organized files on all shipping documents and analyze root cause reasons for poor shipping performance.
• Handle supervisory responsibilities, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, discipline and conflict resolution.
• Maintain a safe work environment that is free from harassment, drugs and workplace violence; promptly document and report all issues to management.
