Job description

Position: Operations Supervisor (Temporary)

Overview

The Operations Supervisor (Temporary) is responsible for planning and directing operations to improve productivity and efficiency within the hotel.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Front Office with managing the Front Office operation; support other departments such as F&B, Housekeeping, and Engineering.
  2. Provide a strong lobby presence to assist front desk agents and guests.
  3. Manage shift coverage in F&B operations as needed.
  4. Balance the hotel room type inventory.
  5. Ensure all areas of the lobby, Mezzanine, and F&B operations meet cleanliness and service standards.
  6. Monitor and promote the Nor 1 upsell program.
  7. Handle guest requests and complaints during shifts.
  8. Perform front desk duties and responsibilities.
  9. Investigate and handle complaints, disturbances, and emergencies during shifts.
  10. Manage employee payroll, attendance tracking, and overtime calls.
  11. Coach, train, counsel, and discipline hourly staff as needed.
  12. Perform Night Audit functions and produce related reports.
  13. Prepare and distribute reports as required.
  14. Handle special guest requests.
  15. Participate in meetings to promote teamwork and morale.
  16. Attend required hotel meetings and trainings.
  17. Participate in M.O.D. coverage as needed.
Qualifications
  1. At least 5 years of progressive hotel or related experience, or a 2-year college degree with 3 years of experience, or a 4-year degree with 1 year of experience.
  2. Previous supervisory experience.
  3. Proficiency in Windows and approved office software.
  4. Ability to work long hours sometimes.
  5. Physical ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns.
  8. Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  9. Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented attitude.
  10. Regular attendance and high personal grooming standards.
Compensation

Hourly Rate: $16.50 - $20.00
