Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems in Indiana is seeking a CDL-B local driver to perform waste and recycling pickup with heavy trucks equipped with front or rear end load lifts. You will operate safely, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and work with the Route Manager to improve route efficiency.

Local travel only, 18+, valid Class B CDL and DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire, and ability to read and speak English well to follow safety training. DOE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Valid Class B CDL required.
• Valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Read and speak English well enough to communicate and follow safety training.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle in accordance with safety, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections using DVIR documentation.
• Report unsafe situations and service-related issues promptly.
• Attend and participate in required training sessions.
• Work with Route Manager to improve route efficiencies.
• Notify Route Manager of incidents, outages, or safety concerns.
• Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Ensure containers on route reconcile with service levels and are dumped cleanly.
• Complete end-of-day documentation and checkout processes.
• Assist other drivers as needed to meet customer needs.
• Local travel only; no overnight travel required.
