Job summary

The Guitar Center Company seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead daily distribution center activities, balancing supervision with hands-on work. You will drive team performance, efficiency, and safety across inbound, outbound, and inventory processes.

Key responsibilities include coordinating workflow, training staff, and ensuring accurate, timely operations. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and certification to operate powered equipment within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of warehouse or distribution center experience, including 2 years in a lead, working lead, or supervisory role.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Working knowledge of PKMS or related warehouse management systems.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be Guitar Center certified to operate all powered equipment, and complete certification within first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates the workflow of the assigned department(s) within the DC to achieve production, quality and safety standards, including monitoring staffing levels and controlling costs.
• Performs operational tasks alongside team members during peak workload to maintain production flow and address performance issues.
• Operates material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) to move, load, or unload product as necessary.
• Trains, develops, motivates, monitors, and evaluates team performance to maintain productivity and accuracy.
• Evaluates and standardizes procedures to improve department efficiency.
• Additional duties as assigned.
