Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a leader to guide and develop a team to ensure customer shipments move on time and damage-free. The role includes planning manpower, scheduling, coaching, and monitoring performance with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will interact with customers for rate quotes, scheduling, and service coordination while ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and NMFC rules. The position is based at the Abington, MA facility with standard shift hours.

Qualifications

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of LTL Industry, DOT Rules and Regulations, OSHA Laws, Hazardous Materials Regulations, NMFC and Tariff Rules, as well as company policies and procedures, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, educate and develop company employees focusing on retention and growth.
• Supervise and direct employee work (including pre-shifts) with a focus on quality, customer deliverables and safety performance.
• Actively monitor, record and educate employees regarding unsafe acts/conditions correcting immediately using corrective action as needed.
