Job summary

Pentair in Delavan, WI is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee fabrication areas including injection molding, machining, and assembly. You will ensure safety, quality and production targets while guiding a team of hourly and salaried staff.

You will lead continuous improvement efforts, coordinate with manufacturing leadership, and drive kaizen events to support the value stream plan. The shift runs 4 am–2 pm Monday–Thursday and 4 am–Noon on Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment including machining, molding, assembly, and metalwork.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand GD&T.
• Cross-functional manufacturing background (production, materials, planning, engineering).
• Lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement knowledge.
• Strong leadership, communication, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and support of employees in the respective work areas, including assigning work, handling performance issues, improving productivity, and maintaining staffing levels.
• Achieve sustainable improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash (SQDCC).
• Maintain department Gemba boards with leads and coordinate RCCM creation for monthly metric misses.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Leadership to meet critical short- and long-term goals.
• Lead kaizen events supporting the value stream strategy deployment under the Value Stream Manager.
• Troubleshoot and improve or create new processes.
• Work with limited supervision, exercise independent judgment in a narrow scope; compare options before deciding.
• Understand customer needs in day-to-day decisions and respond to changes in requirements.
• Develop communication skills to guide the team based on existing processes.
• Provide direction and coaching to non-salaried and entry-level personnel; oversee a local functional or process activity.

We have an opportunity for an operations Supervisor to join our Delavan, WI team. You will be responsible for the processes in the fabrication departments, including safety, quality, and production. These areas may consist of but are not limited to injection molding, machining, and assembly. This role will lead workers directly reporting to them along with hourly direct reports operators.

You will:

• Provide daily supervision and support of employees in the respective work areas which includes assignment of work, managing employee performance issues, improving productivity, and maintaining staffing levels.
• Achieves sustainable improvements along five key categories: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash (SQDCC).
• Maintains department Gemba boards with assistance from leads and is responsible for monthly RCCM creation related to monthly metric misses.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Leadership to ensure the most critical short-term and long-term goals are achieved in a timely fashion.
• Lead kaizen events supporting the value stream strategy deployment plan owned by the Value Stream Manager.
• Use experience to troubleshoot and improve and/or create new processes.
• Under limited supervision; ability to exercise independent judgment in a narrow/limited scope; must compare alternate courses of action and decide after considering the options.
• Understands customer needs in making day-to-day decisions and frequently provides feedback or acts on changes in customer requirements.
• Developed communication skills to provide direction to team based on existing processes.
• Provides direction and guidance to non-salaried and entry level personnel; evaluates performance of and assists in career development planning for subordinates; often responsible for a local, direct functional or process activity.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience within a manufacturing environment that produces items relating to machining, molding, assembly, and metalwork.
• The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and have a basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Have a cross-functional manufacturing background (production, materials, planning, engineering, etc.)
• Be technically sound in lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement strategies.
• Strong leadership skills which include the ability to communicate broadly, teach/coach, motivate, and foster accountability.
• Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of functional supervisory experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
• Support a shift that works 4 am - 2 pm M -TH and 4 am - Noon on Friday.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200- $113600/ year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certificates, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
