Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Phoenix, AZ team to support daily production operations and optimize processes. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost through lean methods, automation, tooling, and standard work.

Responsibilities include PFMEA, control plans, PPAP, and audits, plus developing BOMs, routings, and work instructions while partnering with production, quality, and engineering teams to drive operational

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, production, or quality operations in an engineering role.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience designing or improving tooling, fixtures, workstations, and ergonomic solutions.
  • Familiarity with PFMEA, DFMEA, control plans, PPAP, audits, corrective actions, and quality systems.
  • Experience with production documentation, ERP systems, BOMs, routings, and work instructions.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, process capability, measurement systems, and quality improvement tools.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills with the ability to support multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with automation, manufacturing test systems, and production engineering processes preferred.
  • This posiiton is Monday -Thursday 10 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot process issues and ensure smooth workflow with minimal downtime.
  • Implement and sustain 5S, Kanban, standard work, visual management, and Kaizen events.
  • Design tooling, fixtures, and ergonomic solutions to enhance safety and throughput.
  • Lead quality initiatives: PFMEA, control plans, PPAP, and audits.
  • Develop production documentation: BOMs, routings, work instructions, labor standards.
  • Evaluate process performance using statistical methods and capability analysis.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering to support new products.
  • Support safety and Quality Management System requirements.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Phoenix, AZ team. In this role, you will support daily production operations, optimize manufacturing processes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity through lean manufacturing, process standardization, automation, tooling and fixture development, and problem solving. You will also support quality initiatives, including Quality Management System compliance, process capability improvements, corrective actions, audits, control plans, and ongoing product and process improvements.

You Will:
  • Drive manufacturing process improvements through automation, workstation design, line balancing, and lean manufacturing principles to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Support production operations by troubleshooting process issues, removing constraints, and ensuring smooth workflow with minimal downtime.
  • Implement and sustain lean tools and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kanban, standard work, visual management, and Kaizen events.
  • Design and improve tooling, fixtures, ergonomic solutions, and testing methods to enhance safety, quality, repeatability, and throughput.
  • Lead and support quality initiatives, including PFMEA, control plans, PPAP, process validation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and audit activities.
  • Develop and maintain production documentation, including BOMs, routings, work instructions, labor standards, and process audits.
  • Evaluate process performance using statistical methods and process capability analysis to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to solve problems, support new product introductions, and drive operational excellence.
  • Support safety, regulatory, and Quality Management System requirements while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
