Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift at our Manitowoc, WI facility. You will lead and coordinate manufacturing operations to safely achieve production, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement objectives.

You will guide shift leadership, drive continuous improvement, and ensure cross-functional collaboration to meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing with leadership exposure, proficiency in Lean/Six Sigma, and a bachelor’s-level

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, quality systems, and workforce management.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MES.
  • Able to work Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safe, compliant manufacturing operations by enforcing safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Direct daily production activities to meet schedule, efficiency, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements in productivity, quality, and cost.
  • Lead root cause analysis, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support new product introductions and plant initiatives.
  • Communicate operational results, priorities, and expectations to employees and leadership.

We have an opportunity for a Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift - to join our Manitowoc, WI team. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating second shift manufacturing operations to safely achieve production, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement objectives. This role provides direct leadership to production employees, ensuring efficient execution of manufacturing schedules while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, operational performance, and continuous improvement. The Production Supervisor serves as the primary operational leader for the shift, driving accountability, workforce development, problem solving, and cross‑functional collaboration to support Manitowoc Ice's commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

You will: Lead safe, compliant manufacturing operations by enforcing safety, quality, and environmental standards. Direct daily production activities to meet schedule, efficiency, and customer requirements. Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements in productivity, quality, and cost. Implement Lean Manufacturing, MDI, and continuous improvement initiatives. Supervise, coach, and develop manufacturing employees and team leaders. Manage performance, attendance, onboarding, training, and employee engagement. Lead root cause analysis, incident investigations, and corrective actions. Partner with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and improve operational performance. Support new product introductions, process improvements, and plant initiatives. Communicate operational results, priorities, and expectations to employees and leadership.

Key Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent leadership experience considered. Bachelor's degree preferred. 3+ years of manufacturing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, safety, quality systems, and workforce management. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP/MES, and manufacturing reporting systems. Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and employee development skills. Experience in high‑volume and union manufacturing environments preferred. Ability to work a Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM schedule.

Compensation: For this full‑time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
