Job summary

Pentair is hiring an Operations Supervisor for our Delavan, WI facility. You will lead fabrication teams across injection molding, machining, and assembly, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, driving SQDCC improvements, maintaining Gemba boards, and coordinating with leadership to meet goals. Strong lean, leadership, and SAP/MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment with machining, molding, assembly or metalwork.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand GD&T.
• Cross-functional background across production, materials, planning or engineering.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and process-improvement skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities; coach and motivate teams.
• Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of functional supervisory experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Shift works 4 am–2 pm Mon–Thu and 4 am–noon Fri.

• Lead kaizen events aligned with the value stream plan.
• Troubleshoot and improve processes as needed.
• Exercise independent judgment with a focus on customer needs.
• Mentor non-salaried personnel and support career development.

We have an opportunity for an operations Supervisor to join our Delavan, WI team. You will be responsible for the processes in the fabrication departments, including safety, quality, and production. These areas may consist of but are not limited to injection molding, machining, and assembly. This role will lead workers directly reporting to them along with hourly direct reports operators.

You Will

• Provide daily supervision and support of employees in the respective work areas which includes assignment of work, managing employee performance issues, improving productivity, and maintaining staffing levels.
• Achieves sustainable improvements along five key categories: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash (SQDCC).
• Maintains department Gemba boards with assistance from leads and is responsible for monthly RCCM creation related to monthly metric misses.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Leadership to ensure the most critical short-term and long-term goals are achieved in a timely fashion.
• Lead kaizen events supporting the value stream strategy deployment plan owned by the Value Stream Manager.
• Use experience to troubleshoot and improve and/or create new processes.
• Under limited supervision; ability to exercise independent judgment in a narrow/limited scope; must compare alternate courses of action and decide after considering the options.
• Understands customer needs in making day-to-day decisions and frequently provides feedback or acts on changes in customer requirements.
• Developed communication skills to provide direction to team based on existing processes.
• Provides direction and guidance to non-salaried and entry level personnel; evaluates performance of and assists in career development planning for subordinates; often responsible for a local, direct functional or process activity.

Key Qualifications

• Experience within a manufacturing environment that produces items relating to machining, molding, assembly, and metalwork.
• The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and have a basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Have a cross-functional manufacturing background (production, materials, planning, engineering, etc.)
• Be technically sound in lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement strategies.
• Strong leadership skills which include the ability to communicate broadly, teach/coach, motivate, and foster accountability.
• Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of functional supervisory experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
• Support a shift that works 4 am - 2 pm M -TH and 4 am - Noon on Friday.

Compensation

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200- $113600/ year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
