Job summary

Encore in Orlando seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead floor operations, directing technicians and ensuring event readiness and exceptional customer service. You will manage setup, execution, and teardown of audio-visual equipment, optimize workflows, and uphold Encore standards in a dynamic hotel/convention center environment.

The role emphasizes staff training, mentorship, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a bachelor’s degree preferred and 3–5 years in hospitality/AV.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
  • 3-5 year of audio-visual experience is required.
  • External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
  • Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements per Encore’s program.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes daily floor activities to ensure timely setup, refresh and removal of equipment.
  • Directs technicians and suggests operational efficiencies to venue management and Workforce.
  • Maintains flowsheets and ensures proper completion.
  • Establishes coordinated communications for event management.
  • Attends venue meetings and participates in pre/post conferences.
  • Provides excellent service and upholds Encore’s standards for operations.
  • Trains technicians on floor activities and on Encore’s service and operational standards.
  • Mentors new hires and reinforces a positive working environment.
