Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Knowledge of LTL industry, DOT rules, OSHA laws, hazardous materials regulations, NMFC and Tariff rules.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Multi-tasking and good organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, educate and develop company employees focusing on retention and growth.
• Supervise and direct employee work with emphasis on quality, customer deliverables and safety.
• Monitor unsafe acts/conditions and correct with follow-up actions.
• Plan daily manpower needs and set schedules to ensure on-time freight delivery and pickup.
• Assign and communicate job tasks clearly to all employees.
• Monitor service freight and ensure cut time compliance.
• Identify opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies while maintaining safety standards.
• Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information and setting appointments.
• Collect and report performance data for management.
• Build relationships with business partners to meet service standards.
• Identify freight with incorrect weight/classification.
• Ensure OS&D is identified and processed properly.
• Perform administrative functions as required.
• Comply with laws/regulations and company policies.
