Job summary

HireRight, a premier background screening provider, seeks an Operations Manager in Tulsa, OK. Lead a team of 15 researchers, drive KPI achievement, and ensure accurate, timely outputs in a hybrid work model.

You will mentor staff, conduct regular 1:1s, enforce policies, and partner with clients to meet service levels. A bachelor’s degree and 4–5 years of leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of people management experience in a time-sensitive environment.
• BGV/background screening experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in decision making and employee relations.
• Proven conflict management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Root cause analysis of SLA deviations and action plan development.
• Identify process improvements to raise productivity, quality, and turnaround time (TAT).
• Review daily production reports with researchers to assess production goals.
• Evaluate employee performance and execute appropriate actions.
• Lead regular 1:1s with researchers and provide feedback.
• Enforce HireRight policies and client requirements.

Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading your team to effectively achieve department’s objectives. You will be managing, motivating and driving the performance of your team to ensure that KPI’s are met to a high standard. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the output of the team’s performance and will manage a team of 15 Researchers. The successful candidate should also be able to work autonomously, demonstrate a positive, ‘can do’ and solutions focused attitude and must be able to demonstrate numeracy and analytical skills.

This is a hybrid role requiring three onsite days per week and is based in Tulsa OK.

Responsibilities

• Root cause analysis of SLA deviations, action plan development and resolution
• Identify process improvement areas and take initiatives to improve operational metrics like productivity, quality, TAT, etc.
• Review daily production reports with researchers to accurately assess that production goals
• Evaluate Employee performance and execute appropriate personnel actions.
• Have regular 1:1s with the researchers
• Enforce all of HireRight’s policies and procedures as well as Client requirements.
• Handle escalated issues and requests from internal and external Clients and employees; provide feedback and guidance to the staff
• Create and manage KPIs
• Provide clear, concise, measurable objectives to the researchers and review on a regular basis
• Communicate expectations clearly and provide consistent feedback.
• Be open to cross training in other functions outside of immediate scope of responsibility
• May assist in ad hoc projects as and when required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/Graduate in any stream preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 4-5 years of experience managing others in a time sensitive environment
• Previous BGV operations experience preferred
• Demonstrated leadership ability in the areas of decision making, critical thinking and employee relations.
• Proven conflict management and communication skills.
• Prior Verifications background screening experience a plus
