About the Position
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for directing the work of associates in the warehouse/distribution environment. This position ensures the safety and quality of work within the departments and areas of responsibility.

Functions

1. Determine work volume, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow to ensure maximum cost effectiveness within the department.
2. Assign duties and examine work for quality, neatness, and conformity to policies and procedures.
3. Schedule job assignments for periodic and/or special inventories.
4. Monitor, direct, and (when necessary), perform the accurate shipping of outbound orders.
5. Issue written and oral instructions to associates as needed or required.
6. Ensure associate accountability in accordance with corporate standard operating procedures.
7. Work to maintain harmony among associates and resolve grievances.
8. Manage employee time including edits and corrections.
9. Mentor and coach associates, including corrective actions as well as performance evaluations.
10. Assume responsibility for monitoring zoning and product database development during the receiving process.
11. Perform training on policies, procedures, and Standard Works to ensure processes are followed.
12. Assist Safety Advocate with all aspects of the Safety Program and participate on the Safety Committee.
13. Assist in the development of processes and process improvements.
14. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college; or equivalent related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Minimum of three years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or related field.
3. Minimum of six months supervisory experience.
4. Proficient in PC and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
