GROUND BEEF PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR 2ND SHIFT

JBS in Plainwell, MI is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Grinds Department on 2nd shift.

Group: Salaried

Location: Plainwell, MI

Purpose & Scope

Reports directly to the Production Superintendent and is responsible for directing the workforce to achieve safety, quality, and operational goals as set by facility management.

Experience: Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Knowledge of case-ready processing equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of all employees and product daily, adhering to company policies.
• Supervise hourly production employees, including training on product specifications and techniques.
• Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and proper training.
• Promote continuous improvement in processes and encourage employee ownership.
• Manage employee performance through goal setting and tracking.
• Conduct investigations and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Develop leads for daily operations in supervisor’s absence.
• Track data on yields, usage, efficiency, and customer service; develop corrective actions.
• Utilize performance metrics to guide daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with quality and product specifications.

Education & Experience

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
