Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking a DOT Supervisor at Wally Park Orlando to lead a shift, manage direct reports, and ensure safe, efficient operations. You will instruct staff, track attendance, and review KPIs while delivering excellent customer service.

Candidates should have a valid DOT-related background, strong communication skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and prior facility or parking operations experience is a plus.

Requirements
  • DOT + Valid DL for 3+ years w/ good driving record
  • DOT certified or the ability to successfully perform and pass a DOT physical examination.
  • Comply with Federal DOT, State Rules/Regulations, and Company Policy.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Valid Driver’s License with passenger endorsement if applicable for state regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.
  • Ability to bend at the knees or squat frequently throughout a shift
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather (rain, sleet, snow, heat, high wind, etc.)
The Spirit Of The Position

The Supervisor will be in charge of managing one of our working shifts. Duties primarily revolve around the general management of your direct reports, which include, but are not limited to, providing and demonstrating task instructions, keeping attendance, and measuring key performance indicators. You will be expected to keep records and produce reports that will be used to review team performance.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills and a passion for excellence. Previous leadership experience is a plus.

Principal Job Duties
  • Making sure employees that report to you meet performance expectations.
  • Giving instructions or orders to subordinate employees.
  • Ensuring that the work environment is safe, secure and healthy.
  • Meeting deadlines.
  • Approving work hours.
  • Ensure great customer service at all levels.
  • Dispatching with our shuttle drivers.
  • Greeting customers and informing them where to park.
  • Assisting customers during the checkout process if help is needed.
  • Supervisors will be required to drive shuttles periodically.
  • Be flexible for operation needs and schedule (evenings and weekends)
  • Safely operating company vehicles.
  • GET 100 (Greet, Engage, and Thank the Guest - 100% of the time).
  • Assist passengers when boarding and exiting the vehicle including ADA passengers if applicable.
  • Effectively communicating and working in a team environment to achieve maximum productivity.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work self-sufficiently while performing daily tasks as a professional driver.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience
  • Experience with general facility maintenance required.
  • Experience in customer relations.
  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • May need a valid driver’s license and be able to operate Maintenance vehicles.
Skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations.
  • Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).

Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
  • Continuously requires vision, hearing and talking.
  • Ability to operate machinery including a golf cart.

Environmental Factors

Exposure to noise and vibration and physical hazards. Seasonal exposure to extreme temperature and wetness and/or humidity
